As someone who tries to maintain balance and occasionally enjoys a drink, I was pleasantly surprised by the launch of Baileys Almande. I’m mindful about what I put into my body, including alcohol, but I also like to relax with a drink now and then. Sharing this discovery felt right because it’s a welcome option for those avoiding dairy while still wanting something creamy and indulgent.
Not all alcohol is vegan, so I pay attention when choosing a drink. Before I went vegan, Baileys used to be one of my favorites, but the original contains cream so it fell out of rotation when I stopped consuming dairy. This almond-based version is a great alternative—vegan and gluten free—so both vegans and non-vegans can enjoy it.
The launch event was lovely—beautiful snacks and a warm atmosphere. My friend Celina invited me; she’s a dear and has a wonderful blog and Instagram. At the event we sampled cocktails made with Baileys Almande. The flavor is creamy with a subtle almond note, making it versatile for sipping on its own or mixing into cocktails. I’m planning to make a few Almande-based cocktails for friends this coming weekend. According to the event details, the product became available in the Netherlands starting March 1.
It’s Friday as I write this, so I’ll raise a glass and say: cheers to the weekend!
One Love,
A.J.
