Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino

Caramel Frappuccino closeup

I enjoy nearly every Starbucks beverage, hot or cold. This Copycat Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino is one of their newer frappes, and it’s a favorite here at home. My daughter and I each had one and savored every last sip.

The icy caramel coffee base with a crunchy topping made it a hit. I previously shared another caramel frappe recipe with slightly different ingredients; this one captures the ribbon-crunch texture and flavor more closely.

This recipe takes only a few minutes to prepare—under five minutes from start to finish—so you can enjoy a Starbucks-style treat without leaving the house and at a fraction of the cost.

Yields: 1 large / grande

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee (regular or decaf). Use more if you prefer a stronger coffee flavor.
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy both work)
  • 1 cup fresh ice (fresh ice makes a difference; you can freeze coffee in ice cube trays for extra coffee flavor)
  • 3 tbsp caramel sauce (store-bought regular or sugar-free)
  • 1 tbsp plus 1/2 tsp dry instant vanilla or butterscotch pudding mix (regular or sugar-free)
  • 2 tbsp whipped cream (I used aerosol)
  • 2 tbsp toffee bits (found near chocolate chips in most stores)

Whirl into deliciousness

Directions

  1. Place the ice, brewed coffee, and milk in a blender. Pulse or whirl just until the ice breaks up.
  2. Add the caramel sauce and dry instant pudding mix. Blend again until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more coffee or milk. Stop and scrape the sides if necessary.
  3. When the texture is thick and creamy, add 2 tablespoons of toffee bits and pulse briefly to break them up slightly into the drink.
  4. Pour into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, and the remaining tablespoon of toffee bits for crunch. Serve immediately.

Enjoy the caramel goodness!
