Today I organized a kitchen-shopping outing for my Chicago cooking and baking group and we spent a fun morning at Wilton Industries’ Annual Tent Sale in Woodridge, Illinois. The sale was a great chance to explore aisles of baking tools, cake-decorating supplies and a wide range of kitchenware. We spent about two hours browsing and filling our baskets with finds from the tent sale.

Wilton Industries, headquartered in Woodridge, brings together three well-known consumer brands focused on product innovation and quality: Wilton Enterprises, Copco, and The Weston Gallery. Each division is a leader in its category. Wilton Enterprises has been a top brand in baking and cake decorating for decades, Copco is recognized for well-designed tea kettles and quality kitchen items, and The Weston Gallery is known for upscale picture frames and home accents.
Fans of celebrity chef products might be interested to know that select kitchen lines under the Wilton umbrella include collaborations and branded items from well-known culinary figures. Our group enjoyed seeing a mix of classic Wilton cake pans, decorating tools, bakeware, and some newer countertop accessories at very attractive sale prices.
Here are some of the items I picked up after wandering the aisles for a couple of hours:

After the tent sale we headed back to Chicago and enjoyed lunch in Hyde Park at Medici, a neighborhood spot known for pizza, followed by a leisurely walk through the area’s summer art fair. It was a perfect way to round out the day—good food, good company and a little local culture after a productive morning of shopping.

Overall, the trip combined a love of baking and kitchen gear with a chance to connect with friends and enjoy a sunny day in the city. If you enjoy baking or entertaining, events like Wilton’s tent sale are worth checking out for unique items and seasonal deals.
